First time learning how to ride motorcycle

There is the conundrum. Long time Riders shouldn't find riding hard and they have established a level of safety from experience therefore do not feel unsafe.

Despite our combined agreement that it's not hard or unsafe, it's from a different lens we are looking.

That’s an interesting take. 27 years riding I certainly don’t find it hard, challenging sure, when I push myself and bike on the backroads. As for safety, it’s a known inherently unsafe activity even if all of our i’s are dotted and t’s crossed. Now I do feel safer riding because it’s easier to dodge sticky situations on a bike than in a 4-wheeled machine.

In retrospect, saying a level of safety that evolves from experience removes the feeling of unsafe wasn't meant to speak for all. I'd be remiss to say there aren't times when crummy weather hits fast in Colorado and going over a mountain pass has 3 inches of slush and hail in the middle of July doesn't make me think four wheels underneath of my butt instead of two wouldn't be a bad thing. I've been a mountain biker in Colorado for 30 years and I'm not going to lie that going up and down single track in biking shorts, tank top and in a ventilated helmet with half finger gloves doesn't develop a sense of control and experience that translates to riding on the street. Probably real similar to riding dirt bikes and understanding the nuances and loose conditions in sketchy situations where the trail is changing from day to day based on weather and other factors.
