Yeah...and I haven't jumped off a high bridge either. Shame on me.

Plenty more to make the point - I don't smoke and don't need to try it to understand it's not healthy.

It's hard to believe that getting and using a couple buckets of water appears to some like climbing Mt. Everest.

Workarounds are shortcuts, rarely doing the required task to its proper standards.

Another thing you haven't done. Add that to the list.

I'd like to see Hayoondayfan lug some buckets full of water, soap, sponges, rags, a buffer and extension cord, a battery powered sprayer, and his believed Meguiar's 7 down a couple flights of apartment stairs and back up again.

Would probably seem like Everest.

When I lived in apartments I didn't wash my cars. I worked at a dealer and the detail crew would knock out a $50 for $10 on the side. Doesn't really help the OP, I know. Maybe it does. Any mobiles detailers on your area? Maybe you can at least get a clean car for your $400/mo.

I agree $400 a year is way too much money to detail 2 cars.

Lugging a couple buckets is a piece of cake - done it for decades. Location made no difference whatsoever - it's the process that counts.

All kidding aside...there has to be some value in trying something as a workaround - typically when there are no other choices available. There have been numerous trials of new detailing products and techniques done here. Those were driven by benefits in one form or another, rather than taking a step backwards.
