So I just finished my first o/c on my 2013 Pathfinder. I replaced the dealer installed OEM Nissan filter 15208 65F0E. I have heard bad things about Nissan filters having cardboard end caps so I decided to cut one open. To my surprise it seemed to be a very well made filter. End caps are metal unlike others have been reporting. So I then decided to search for filters for my vehicle and I keep coming up with a different Nissan part number 15208 65F0C. Did the dealer put on the wrong filter?
I put on a Purolator one filter on for this o/c because of the bad things I heard about Nissan filters. Now I have read a few recent things about torn elements on the Purolator one filters. Probably going back to OEM on next o/c.
I saved the cut filter and I will do the same with the Purolator when that o/c is due so I can compare the two.
