First day back at work after yearlong injury.

Well, today, after over a year out of work due to injury. Today, is my first day back to work. new hire onboarding process today, half day, but get paid for the whole day.

It has been a life changing experience, and the road has been long and boring.......so from the private sector, to the state\county I go, hopefully for the next 25 years, or until I die.

Not a bad gig or so I have heard.......a phone, an IPAD and computer, a desk, a car, clothing allowance ......and a bit of freedom.....what more could someone ask for?

I made the jump to the public sector and work for my town. Its good, but the politics and procedure are difficult to get used to. Feels like running under water. You try real hard, but don't go very far.

What injury?

Only ask because you stated it's been around one year since the injury. You made around 16 posts in the past week or-so. So I probably need to look back around 52 weeks X 16 posts to find out. That's roughly 830 posts.

Anyways, congrats on getting back to a more normal routine and a much fresher start.

What injury?

back injury, long story....partly birth defect, partly military service, partly construction work for the last 20 years. Surprised i lasted this long. It is funny what you can do when someone isnt telling you that you cant do it. But that is for young people. My 40 has come at nearly 49. Sucks
