Hello and this PH500 Firesrone filter was off a 2014 F-150, with the 5.0 unknown mileage. Looks a little funky to me. Put a champ labs ph500 and some Eco Power 5w30 back in and on

Yeah, OLM was at 31% so mileage on oil is a [censored] shoot
car51 - Firestone PH500 did it's job with this oil and OCI whatever it was. This one has the new core which significantly reduces the window size and I believe reduces the risk of a media blow out. From what I could see, it looks like the covers are still glued to the media. And importantly, no tears. Did you notice any cold startup clatter/noise?
Not bad, considering, but I would use something a little tougher if I was going past 5K miles, looks a lot like a TLE filter. Does look OK, though.
No not really. Seems some of the F-150's with this engine on those dead nuts 0 and -degree days I noticed some ticking like clattering on start up. Not lately with this early spring weather though
On my 2014 the olm is set to 10k no matter how I drive it should be 6900 miles on this filter

Your 2014 5.0L F-150 should have the intelligent oil life monitor. Apparently your conditions aren't severe. Depending on usage, you should get everything from 5K-10K. I have a hard time believing it's set to 10K period.
To car51, this filter looks pretty good to me. I'd never heard of the Firestone brand in oil filters until now.

Branson304 - I do not know if Firestone's entire line are eCore designs but the one I cut and posted was a good little filter.
This was a short OCI to clean up the engine.

The dumb OLM is set to 7.5K. The intelligent OLM starts at 10K & adjust according to conditions, which could give you an oil change everywhere from 5K-10K miles. A 2014 F-150 with the 5.0L has the intelligent OLM.

Lol car51 that's called sarcasm if you don't own my vehicle or ride with me to work everyday then you won't know the amount of severe service it gets but..... I do because I'm the one driving it THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO "SMART" part to mine it's set to 10k that is it lol I think it's funny when someone argues against someone that's just telling what their stuff does
