Update:
disabled protected mode per Drew's advice. Works initially but after opening several additional tabs while browsing Firefox eventually comes to it's knees and finally stops responding again.FlashPlayerPlugin_19_0_0_226*32 no longer shows in the task list, with Firefox's own plugin container showing instead. Task kill required to end the drama.
I am going to try to download Firefox 64 bit, as I think the version it is giving me when I select select the win7/win8 from the drop down on the Adobe site is 32 bit.
The whole reason I even started using Firefox is because it was the only browser that would still allow connection to the local web interface (intranet) of my ancient Cisco/Linksys WRT 120N wireless N router (technically, faux N...) due to the router setup pages being https (SSL) and coded with the "weak ephemeral Diffie-Hellman key in Server Key" error discovered a while back for SSL. IE and Chrome no longer allow connections to a server with the weakness with no option to bypass for a trusted server on the local intranet. Firefox also would no longer allow it BUT there is the option to go into ABOUT:CONFIG on the address line in Firefox and change two parameters under the list of parameters for how Firefox handles SSL3 connections, basically disabling them (both boolean's so user-change them to FALSE) which would then cause Firefox to allow connection to a server with the SSL security weakness, i.e. weak Diffie-Hellman key.
Not a huge deal, and I should update to a new router anyhow think I got the WRT back around 2008 or 9, but these days it's just my laptop and a wireless G printer/copier/fax on the router and I'm limited to G speeds anyhow as long as I have the G printer (and have no need for better printer right now).
