I have mixed feelings about that auction. I couldn't help but wonder if some of the buyers had "Auction Fever". None of the articles I read mentioned if any of the cars still ran. Take the '58 Cameo... sure a vehicle from 1958 with only 1 mile on the odometer is unheard of. But it's going to take more than a can of Nu-finish and a bottle of ArmorAll to get that thing show worthy. lol

I was totally stunned that it went for $140,000, but I guess somebody wanted it real bad.

Having said that, I'm glad these vehicles are finally in the hands of proper collectors.

According to the Omaha newspaper it was bought by a collector in New Hampshire who said he wasnt going to restore it or even wash it before displaying it in his museum. Guess he wants the barn find look.

Maybe he wants ultra-original, you know, even the original dirt.

Whoever paid $22k for that C10 is nuts, I don't care how low the mileage is, its still an old shot truck.

If he stored the vehicles inside and made an effort to preserve them they would have went for a lot more.
