Not yet. But late 2027. I won't buy the first year run even if the engine and platform are mostly carry over.

MB finally stopped using poverty engines and I really like this.

-AWD with LSD
-Tq converter transmission with integrated generator (not a belt driven), not a wet clutch or dct.
-size and ground clearance fit my needs
-Performance is not great but does meet my minimal standards. It uses the engine and transmission from the CLE53 AMG, which MB quotes at 4.0 0-60 but in testing does 3.5. They quote this GLC53 at 4.1, so I expect 3.4-3.8. Tbey added a bit of beans revising the 3.0 some, but I expect the GLC is 1-250# heavier.

Anyway, with the deal of X3M, this one is what I'm planning.

I want one more gas burner thats somewhat iconic, before theyre all gone, and an AMG product is special enough for me. YMMV.

Looks good, but If I have to get an automatic I'd always want a dct over a torque converter automatic. MB has traditionally gone with dct especially on their full AMG models.

I've always loved the looks of that car. First time I seen one, a car buddy that worked for MB were doing media shoots for the release of AMG GLC43 in Lower Wacker, downtown Chicago. He invited us out to check it out "and stuff" but we weren't allowed take pics of it. That thing was dang quick, I'm not sure why but it always reminds me of a short, stout, hunched-over Irish boxer.

I prefer to converter boxes. The one in this is excellent. Its far better than the clutch unit in the outgoing glc43 amg.

I recently rode in some form of AMG v8 sedan with twin turbos. It was a beautifully made vehicle inside and out. There were no inches under the hood for wrench access. Assuming dealer service is good to go, would be a fabulous way to go.

T'was about time.
My view on that 4-pot nonsense in an AMG is someone thought the Lancer EVO was beloved enough, it should work. Because a Lancer EVO engine is what an AMG client wants in a vehicle that is anything but 😊.

I am convinced to this day that Honda shot itself in the foot by insisting on never, ever giving Acura a V8. They launched short, and never reached the heights they should have.

If I had infinite money I'd pay Icon to get a Honda BF350 outboard and cram it into a 2nd Gen Legend Coupe, just because why not.

I'm right with you, except I want a sedan (I will always prefer a sedan or coupe for as long as I'm able) so I'm wanting a C53 in a few years. I love my C43 but I like to replace a car with something significantly quicker.

I dealer service everything if I do not work on it at home. I found out long ago that indy was trash and will just end up costing you more in the long run. The exception of course are specialty shops with contact with OEM's, such as Dinan, LPE, etc. or when you have a true classic/antique and have a quality shop that caters specifically to that.

I like sports cars, but ground clearance is just a no-go for me on them anymore. Any little thing in the road, and you're on the hook for 4-5 figures. Dead armadillo mid corner? There goes your CF splitter, and if you really fail at life, your intercooler/radiator/HVAC. Enjoy that bill. Or I guess you could plow off the mountain or into the oncoming car.

My C43 has survived without any damage for going on four years if you don't count a couple of bent wheels and tires.
