trying to do an oil change and want to know which filter to use

If your engine usese the 16 filter, I really like supertech ones for 2.80 a pop they are great for regular OCIs. I use them on my 2.5 jeep with no issues now for over 2 years.

I would use a Purolator or a Wix filter. I have always had Dodges and thats all I ever used. Look down inside that Super Tech and if you can live with that "Lego" cage, then its your call.

+1 Ignore the fear mongerers.

Supertech from walmart or valucraft from Autozone. I have used the e-cores since they came out. I only switched recently to the Pureone because of the good stuff I read about it here. So far the P1 hasn't failed to impress. I liked the P1 so much that I bought a [censored] of them from Amazon. That is another great thing I found thanks to BITOG.

Known as the "Purolator Classic" these days.

Try the ST8, it's a slightly larger filter. I used them on my 242ci's all the time. Great filter at a great price.

Why? It's the same filter, just a buck cheaper.

My dad has an 04 Jeep Grand with the 4.0, it's seen nothing but Fram oil filters and yes it's still alive, I've never noticed any strange noises and he has not had any issues using Fram oil filters.
