I think he NEEDS the stainless oil filter because the K & N lets so much dirt in through the air intake

Boxcar is talking about a "K&P" stainless mesh oil filter ... not a "K&N" oil filter. Totally different.

agreed-but he uses a KN air filter too
Took a look at the website---looks like the filter offers significantly improved flow, with integral bypass--may not be the best choice for GM V-8 owners with bypass built into the block
