Filter for Kawasaki

I have a DR string trimmer. It has a 4.5 HP FC150V Kawasaki engine with a spin on oil filter. I was wondering if there anyone can give a cross reference for a wix, fram, super tech, purelator, est. If you can give me some references for oversize filters that will fit this engine would even be better. Thanks for all the help.

Go to the WIX web site. And either try search by oem part number. Or model specific. Once you get a WIX number then you can cross it to any brand you care. I know on my John Deere with a Kaw. 14 hp the WIX 51394 or 51396 fits.

The only Kawasaki filters that I could find for small engines are 3/4-16 thread. Depending on the gasket size, you should have a wide variety of filters to use ..if this is the case in your application.

This one has a bigger gasket. If you've got a liberal mating serface ..there are plenty of bigger filters for you to use.

How cool is that! A Weedwacker with a spin-on oil filter... in order to compete, I'm gonna have to put some deeply chromed straight-pipes on mine... and a sissy bar.

I also found it a bit extreme ...sorta like a V8 lawn mower that you see on some comedy movies. Yep, that Kawa has an optional pressurized lube system (as noted on one site).

This opens up lot of possibilities. Dual oil filters ..coolers..bypass filtration...you name it. It's a shame it's not liquid cooled too
