I have a Generac/Marathon MLT3060K Light Tower, which has a Kubota D1005 engine in it. The current coolant is Red.

Through some research a few weeks ago, I somehow landed on NOAT Final Charge 750,000 Mile Extended Life Heavy Duty Antifreeze/Coolant
This is red, and for some reason I figured I needed the nitrated coolant. However, reading some other forum posts on nitrated coolant. I'm starting to worry that I bought the wrong thing.

Can anyone help me suggest a coolant? The book just says ethylene glycol coolant and doesn't specify anything else, and since its a used machine I have no idea what's in it

Would there be a problem running the coolant I bought?

Another idea I had was PEAK Original Equipment Asian Red/Pink which does not have nitrites

Any other suggestions?

Many/most Kubota engines are not wet sleeved, so the need for SCA's is not as important. But yours would need verification and you might as well use a diesel type coolant anyways, so moot point.

My two cents: 1.) Hard as it may be, try to abandon your concept that color matters. Like grease colors, it means nothing regarding the coolant chemistry. 2.) Even though it might not matter, verify that your coolant has no 2EHA plasticizer. 3.) Finally, because you don't know whats in there now, flush it thoroughly (and then some more) to avoid chemistry incompatibility.

I use John Deere Coolgard II regardless of tractor brand (my endorsement- I had Kubotas in the past). Nitrates?? - Most companies moved away from it due to international restrictions, so I would not consider it an important specification to follow.

Kubota Chemistry: https://www.colemanequip.com/wp-content/uploads/70040-0L014.pdf

"Kubota Genuine Coolant is a premium Ethylene Glycol-based phosphate coolant certified for Kubota Engines. Its formula consists of unique characteristics to meet Asian vehicle application and does not contain any silicate, borate, nitrite, etc that can cause problems in the cooling system."
