Do you want the best? Easy.
Michelin XPS Rib LT235/85R16/E 120/116Q LRE
Steel cord.

If these are out of the budget, look for another commercial highway rib tire in this size. Bridgestone Duravis 250 is one example.

The LT235/85-16/E has the same load rating as the common LT245/75-16/E, same O.D., narrower, less rolling resistance, often used on one-ton dually pickups.

I think it has come down to one of the good LT235/85R16 LRE tires. They are rated for 3,042 lbs. Coincidentally, the wheels are also rated for 3,042 lbs.

Michelin will be on my list. As will BF Goodrich, Bridgestone, Firestone, Continental, General and Cooper. Possibly Hankook or Kumho, and maybe another brand if I can be convinced.

Trailer will be parked for the winter now, but replacements will be in order before it hits the road in late spring. No sense in letting the new rubber age some before being used.

when my current tires are gone on my trailer I am going with these: Gladiator ST Radial

I have not found a bad word about them anywhere on the net yet.
