I thought this would go good in the humor section. Is it just me or are all females unable to tell time?

We had some of my wife's family in town. I got tasked with taking them to the airport.

I told them all,5 female adults,1 female toddler and 1 male infant that we had to be on the road, moving by 6:33a.

I also asked if both cars were ready to go. Gas? No low tire light, cleaned out etc.

I was told yes

I got up@5a. Showerd. Ate,let the dog out etc .

6:25 I got into the Nissan to start loading people..The low gas light is on! Somethin I did not anticipate as I asked about that already.

Got into the FJ and it's full of plants in pots!

Had to clean all that out.

6:33a. No girls!

The girls did not start to load into the cars until 7:03a! Fully loaded @7:26! And we still had to stop for gas.

Fortunately the flight was late to leave or they would have all missed it.

Anyone else?

Yet somehow, if they had missed the flight, it would have been all your fault.

Should have tossed the ringleader the keys at 6:45 and said with her monkeys it wouldn't be your circus.

Your fault for being so specific with the time. Always add 30 min to your departure time and you'll be much less stressed. Trust me, it is a losing battle.
I learned to use a similar technique with my wife and, as you noted, my life improved a bit.

A woman friend suggested that when dealing with women, it's sometimes best to put things into a familiar and comfortable context. My wife refused to pump her own gas at the time (1980s) and no matter how I explained, and how many times I explained, the savings that could be had with self service, nothing worked until I found the right context.

At the time, she was taking an aerobics class a couple of times a week. One day I told her that if she pumped the gas herself she'd save enough money for 3 aerobics classes. "Imagine, sweetie, three free classes!" And I swear to you by whatever people swear to, she never used full service again.

SIL + niece: [catching Metro North to meet Mrs. Kira, continuing to Maine]. "Ohh yeah....maybe we'll catch the 11 AM train"

Mrs. Kira: [loudly and clearly]. "NO, get up and catch the 6AM train or we don't go".
a) 'tis just one reason I like Mrs. Kira
b) I made and packed breakfast sandwiches for them. Everybody wins with punctuality.
