Family Movies!!!

Even the G rated movies nowadays have eough off tong in cheek inyouendo to make my toenails curls if i considder my little girls and my boy are watching adult toppics disgised as kids entertainment. Lately I have been watching some old classic's and have found q few that offer allaround good clean family entertainment!! The best one so far was The Halleluhja (sP?) Trail with Burt Lanchester and Lee Remick. Totally hillarius was Martin Landau as the sneaky and devius Cheif Walks Stooped over and the other white actor who payed Cheif Five Barrells was just as funny as the allways drunk Indian!!! The movie is directed by the great John Sturgis and the music was composed by Elmo Bernstein. Watch this movie if you can its a barrell of laughter without the use of rude and vulger langauge!!! If you know a good clean family movie like that one lust it hear in this thread!!

I agree that movies these days are quite boring what ever the rating is, however I just want to know what rated G movie you saw latley that adult inyouendos?
 
No Panda Bear that western is a comdey and not violet at all you should see it before judgeing!!! Theirs a big shootout in the movie and afterwards two of the character's talk about how its amazing that the hole area is littered with with bullets but how nobody got killed during teh battle. Most of the humor is delivered in the conversations between the character's. See how the west was fun lol: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=diNIw3RPzug

Well many of them do actually. Remeber the propagatien of alternative lifestyles between Guido and Luigi in Cars?? Ratatuille wasnt fun for my kids besides the chase sceen through the kitchen. Up dealed with dying of a main character in the first twenty minutes of the movie which seams abit heavy for a product aimed primarrily at kids and I was expacting the other old character to drop any second also!!??? I remember seeinga short movie before some Disney moei and it really damaged me for years's to come. It was the story of a little native American boy who was an outcast and all the othe rkid's hated him. I can't remember why this was but in the end the other kids threw stones at the little boy and he jumped off a high cliff because he wanted to rather be dead than stoned to death. When the boy ju7mped of the cliff he trnasformed into an eagle and thats how this short movie ended. I dont even remember what the main Disney feature was but this short ruined it all for me when I was jsut five years old!!! I was so sad and didnt want to go see any movies for a long time. Now theirs a new Disney movie The Princess and the Frog coming out soon and Im not sure that toppic isnt some kind of alleygory with an unsavory subtext!!??

These are pretty G-rated:

"True Grit," with John Wayne (some violence, but it's never there just to have some violence);

"Cheyenne Social Club," one of the funniest Westerns ever filmed, with James Stewart and Henry Fonda (though the basic concept, that Stewart inherits a bawdy house in the Wyoming Territory, might be a little adult for kids -- but it's all good fun, and there's no nudity or anything);

"Never a Dull Moment," with **** van Dyke, from 1968 or so.

And anything with Lee Remick is worth seeing a few times. Like five, or six. Or more.
 
My wife loves **** in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang which is another excellent movie for the whole Family!!! Another of those very clean fun movies is Those Magnificent Men in there Flying Machines. Where are the Terry Thomas's off our time??? All we got is filthy loudmouth's like Martin Laurence.

Whaaaaaaaat? They were portraying a stereotypical Italian personality. I though it would be offensive to people of Italian heritage by using the slang "Guido".

Guido was his name and i don't think Ive heard any body use Guido as a derogatory expression but if so its just another example of how Insidius subcontext in allegedley kid's movies can be!!! I am shure Luigi and Guido were propagating something but Im not going to expound on it hear!!!

 
Im so embareassed my Wife just told me thats an italian flag doo on Luigi. Im color blind and was shure I saw a rainbow flag. Im sorry Luigi!!!!

Well Im of to work the afternoon shift. Ill have to check out Cloudy with a chance of Meat Balls the previews looked good
 
yeah that was great I recommand it to everyone111 Too bad my kids started a Food fight when we went to In-N-out after the movie. The movie inspired them I guess lol what a mess!!!

Grease is on at present.

Seeing as last time I saw it was 30 years ago, I'm actually shocked at it's content, and that it's a family movie on at 6:30PM.

"May contain adult themes"is an understatement.
