Just got my UOA back from oilguard on my 2003 Xterra V6. I changed out the factory oil at 2500 miles and took a baseline sample for future comparisons.

code:

Alum 10

Chrom 2

Copper 50

Iron 0

Lead 13

Tin 0

Sil 64

Potsm 1

Sodium 5

Moly 0

Water
Oxid 3.7

Visc 13.6

Glycol none detected

Fuel
TBN 6.6

Nitr 4.4

Don't know if this really means anything at this point in the engines life, but thought it might be interesting none-the-less.

It's odd to see no iron but 13ppm of lead in a sample, could it be the other way around? This oil has thickened up into a 40wt too. Wear metals aren't too bad at all for the factory fill either. The upcoming UOAs should be interesting, this looks like a "low wear metal" type of engine.

Patman's right. Call up and have them check the origional data sheet. The person who transcribed probably made a mistake. Its happened to me. Great numbers. The copper and silicon will come down hopefully.
