F16 addition to Holloman AFB static displays

Took the grandsons to see the final stages of F16 addition to Holloman AFB static displays. If visiting White Sands National Park, this is a very dry nice supplemental stop, just minutes from White Sands.

It was surprising to see USAF personnel work on a Saturday on a non mission critical task. I thought USAF started their weekend at 1100 on Thursdays.

Finally, the last picture is what I believe was a gift from the German government from when the Germany Air Force did training at Holloman/ White Sands range. That training program ended a few decades ago and was a major loss for this area.

All those are "HO" labeled. Kinda funny ID for the base, IMO. LOL

Dang. When we were in Alamogordo last fall White Sands National Park was closed due to gubmint nonsense but I didn't know about these on the base. Maybe civilians can't go there? The Alamogordo Space Museum has some good exhibits. I submitted your name as a test volunteer if they ever re-activate the rocket sled.
