Eyesore or just deal with it?

@Finklejag I think this would be an improvement, still controversial though!

This is an odd and arguably crude (in construction and appearance) sign to have on county/city/municipality property.

Do they do this elsewhere? Is this part of PSA campaign? Did taxpayers foot the bill? A non-profit?

It just seems......random

We need to remind ourselves that most happy and healthy people do not overthink little problems and even bigger problems that are out of their control, not going to change.

... Eventually, the name of the complainant(s) became known and lots of "things" happened to them.
They were shown true "love thy neighbor" outbursts, positive vibes and prayers for their health and souls, which would be the only thing the nativity scene would allow, understand and encourage? Right ? Right ??

Just random. I been living in this house for 10 years and this is the first time a sign like this was erected.

If that's true most of us are not happy or healthy.... wait that's actually what psychology textbooks always say, because you will always find a symptom that indicates you are having some mental issues so don't overthink it.

Well - just bcs I’m paranoid doesn’t mean they are not out to get me 👀

I contacted the city manager in charged of political signs. I sent him an email with pics of the sign. He said it wasn’t a political sign and will be taken down. I just came home from work and the sign is no more. Problem solved.

One voice often is not heard.

Many voices are often heard.

That said, if you want it moved so it's not an eyesore to the nice view, get a petition going and get a lot of signatures.

It probably will be easier to get signatures if you go at it with a suggestion of where it should be moved to, instead of just trying to get it removed and not still being somewhere where it can help someone. And also easier to get action if it's moved instead of only taken down.

I think that sign belongs near a high bridge or any other place where someone would take that last leap.

Just my 2 cents worth of thought. I've seen petitions work before for other things.

Good luck.

The city put a big light up road construction sign on my land a few weeks ago. Telling people to be safe or something.

Was actually blocking entrance to my bottom land, though I don't normally use that one. (Have another road that's off my main driveway)

I made them move it, mostly because no one bothered to ask my permission and simply decided it was fine.

The foreman was a bit of an ass, so told him I'd treat it as abandoned property and crush it with my excavator if it wasn't removed.

Didn't have any issues after that.

Thing is had they simply asked, or the foreman apologized, I would have had no issue with it being there.
