Expanding the broad presence its flagship Mobil 1 synthetic engine oil has in high-performance motorsports, ExxonMobil today announced a global technical cooperative agreement with Honda Performance Development (HPD), a subsidiary of American Honda Motor Co., Inc., and the Honda technical operations center, for the development and design of Acura's high-performance racing engines.

As part of the agreement, ExxonMobil's signature Mobil 1 synthetic engine oil will be used in all three Acura LMP2 race car engines for the 2007 and 2008 seasons of the American Le Mans Series. ExxonMobil also provides technical support for the team, which made its American Le Mans Series debut on March 17, 2007, at the 55th Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring race in Central Florida.

Old news.

Exxon Mobil has had a strong relationship with Honda for several years. They continued the relationship with Mclearen even when they changed from Honda to Mercedes motors in F-1. I can't think of many more company's that keep such a visible presence in automotive racing. Just about every track in the world you will see a Mobil banner.

That is true. Very visible. They need to improve their PCMO's a bit though.
