I have some NEO 7wt GL4 (4.4 cSt @ 100*C) gear oil leftover from my old race days, and some current Redline MTL (10.2 cSt @ 100*C).
In the last 10 years I really haven't had anywhere I could use the 7wt, and as MTL is used in racecar powersteering systems such as Sprintcars, I'm thinking mixing these two together 50/50 could make a pretty strong power steering fluid of around 7.3 cSt in my 4WD's.
One's diester based, the other POE and should mix OK and both are hydraulic rated.
Am I crazy ??
