One good thing, the "gaping maw" front-end styling trend is fading. Lexus is still hanging tough with it, but many other makers are moving back to smaller grill openings. And while we are complaining about styling elements, I hate the new IP design trend that looks like a tablet sitting on top of the dash. I'm okay with the infotainment screen looking like that, but what happened to the "cockpit" design for the IP?
Their marketing department say they need a huge 3 point star for people who buy them for good money. To make it not too out of place they need an even bigger grill just to blend in.
Just how much do you think people will pay for the same car if it was made by Hyundai (it literally looks like an obese Elantra)? 30% off? 60% off?
Low production numbers make everything more expensive to make. Plus, that sure is practical!
