Filled up today at a Sunoco se of columbus. I did not notice any stickers that said ethanol anywhere on the pumps. I checked high and low and even other islands, and no stickers. Went inside to ask and they didn't have a clue. Just wondered if this will be my new place to get gas, because all my small engines hate the ethanol, and so does my mpg on the Prius.

is cbus a epa zone like cleveland? if so its mandated at least for part of the year.

No I don't care much for the arbitrary rules about gasoline additives, especially mtbe with ethanol a distant second. In columbus we are not mandated by the EPA like Cleveland is, but almost all stations post that the gas contains ethanol. That is why I wondered if Sunoco was doing something different.

The corn lobby would prefer you not know.

Give me a break. The corn lobby is so proud of ethanol they would prefer that labeling exists. But you also have to keep in mind, we import ethanol also. What may be at your pump may not be corn based. And now, the sugar beet industry is taking a real hard look at setting up ethanol processing plants in the Dakota area.

I thought all gas in Ohio was required to have at least 5% ethanol by volume (BP Premium has only 5-6% ethanol by volume-which is why it's not considered "top tier"). Even the stations up here in Lorain county (just west of Cleveland) that advertised "ethanol-free gas" had 10% ethanol-I know because I bought a gallon, came home, added some water, and sure as sh*t the water layer grew in volume after I shook it up.

I think if you see any gasoline sold at a pump in Ohio that's advertised as ethanol-free, it's a scam...especially if they're selling it for more $$$
