P.S. At the time when switched to rotella, I installes BMK-13. I dont know if that hade to do with it, but... it's back to normal now.

Any inpoot welcome.
Thanks Anton

Dual remote filters and 40W oil could be your problem but if you ditch the remote filters and use a EAO filter ill bet you wouldnt get any noise.

I was considering using the dual filter setup but decided that it was just some more potential problems to pop up down the road. I use the SDF filters from Amsoil (SDF-15) on my 4.7 dodge. I have a rather large supply. Anyway, I have the BMK-13 and the bypass filters sitting in my garage. I should sell them but at this point I would give them away to make more room for my oil stash!!

In the vehicles Ive run rotella syn in (BMW 318i, chevy S10 ZR2, MB 300D turbodiesel), it seemed A-OK without any noise issues. Of course, in 7 cars that weve put it in, we have not had issuesw with M1 noise either.

Id suspect the filter setup for startup noise, especially if newly installed...

Then again the PP oddity with respect to noise is strange...
