It was in development when I was born & made routine flights when I was in elementary school. As a kid I watched it land at an Air Force Base that I would later be stationed at and had the privliage to see it on the back of its 747 carrier while taking off.

It may not be entirely logical, but I was proud of our country for the accomplishments in space.

It is just that there was such an insanely astronomical cost to these endeavors..

Well since their expenses will now go down..NASA can hire more government workers.

So now that these things are all obsolete, does that mean we should be watching ebay for a chance to pick one up on the cheap?

Hopefully they can use the Canadarm for other things in the future...

I was thinking the same thing. Or maybe you guys can hang it up in a cool museum.
