Those aerial tanker pilots are extremely skilled. They fly 200 feet off the ground, with uneven terrain, poor visibility, warm air that reduces lift, while fighting gusty winds and turbulence from the fire below. And they do that with a plane that handles as well as a school bus towing a mobile home. Then they dump 1/3 of the plane's weight in an instant. It's dangerous work. 0 margin of error

Why should the public pick up the tab to protect rich numbskulls that put a house where it shouldn't be and don't clear trees and brush around it.

You hear sob stories coming out of Cali every year.
