Ya, guilty as charged except the wallet. That is always on me.

Mine is just the opposite. Her ringer is off, she screens calls etc. My kids know if an emergency, call me. Even when sleeping and on do not disturb, their calls come through as well as 3 repeats of the number in like 5 minutes in case they lost their phone or other oddity. That happened once when my daughter locked her keys and phone in the car at school. She used a friends phone to call me.

My wife has the next door neighbor as a back up EC. She knows the neighbor will come and knock on the door to get me because I don't answer the phone.

As a general rule it’s probably a good idea to keep your life insurance beneficiaries and your in case of emergency contacts separate.
