Elite Motorsports adding a Top Fuel Car/Team

I know they've been looking for talent, and buying things they'll need to field a team or teams. But as of this moment, the NHRA has not given the okay to run both classes. I hope they succeed in getting approval, as the Fuel classes need more participation.

If you listen very carefully at the end of the interview, she kind of does but does not say they have approval.

Richard Freeman isn't an idiot, he's not going to buy cars and haulers that he isn't going to use.

That makes sense. However, the NHRA has made some pretty stupid decisions in the past.

So Richard Freeman has signed an agreement to acquire Josh Harts Top Fuel operation at the end of this season. They're also looking for more funding and the right personnel to make running a Top Fuel car possible. They apparently aren't there yet, but are optimistic they will be.

Tony will come over to drive he needs a new ride next year the wife kicked him out of his seat.

Elite Motorsports and TSR have formed a partnership. So if Tony also drives in 2026, he wouldn't need to "come over", as he'd already be there as a partner. Other than stating that Leah will be back to drive again in 2026, no other drivers have been officially announced at this time.

This is pretty cool. Tony Stewart's sprint car team is merging with Rico Abreu's team and will technically be running as TSR but in the High Limit Series and select WoO events.

It was predictable that he would drive again in 2026, but until it's made official, as it was yesterday, things can and do change. I'm surprised that Josh Hart was interested in selling his operation. They've been pretty consistent in running well. I'm sure it was all about the money situation, as it always is in racing.

I was surprised when Donny was let go by TSR, but I could also kinda seeing it happen. I'm just glad that most events with NHRA still have somewhat decent field counts. We will have it make it down to Pomona again, my mom enjoyed it and she isn't getting younger.
