Firefox has been pretty good at blocking pop-ups, but I've got one that is persistent and irritating and I would like to find a way to kill it(if not it's sender). Thanks in advance.

Thanks Mike. Are you referring to "Adblock Plus"? Does this apply to pop-ups? From what can I see, it applies mostly to banner ads? What I'm dealing with is a pop-up suggesting we download some #@$%! freeware. It pops up every 72 hours or so, out of the blue. I'm concerned that one of the other users in our home is going to install this thing by accident. With Adblock Plus added, will it automatically block it or will I have to manually right click on it and apply Adblock? Thanks.

you can set filters in Sdblock plus to block some of the banners auto, but usually you have to apply it by right click at the moment. (that's how i do it, the filter things is too complex for me).
and afaik, Adblock plus is for banners like you said, not for pop ups.

i meant Adblock plus in the 1st sentence, not Sdblock plus
