I'm wondering if Elf Liplexa 6062 would be a good substitute for Mobil XHP 222 for use in disc brake wheel bearings? It is sold here by NTN Bearings in a 4 Kg pail. My reason for looking for a substitute is that the XHP 222 only comes in a 16 Kg bucket, which would take years to use up at the rate we pack bearings. We use Mobilgrease Special #2 w/moly for chassis lubrication; its drop point is to low for use in disc brake bearings. The habitual grease used here in Mexico for wheel bearings is a #3 bentonite [Roshfrans B.A.T.-3], but I can't bring myself to use it unless the customer obviously abuses their vehicle.
