Effects of T-Mobile Cell Data on Distance From Cell Tower

It would be very cool if you were able to update any changes. Those are awesome results and some people do get very good results. Key is near the tower, yeah, I had a bad experience with the "trash can" and now in a new home, tower is too far, maybe (I forgot) 2.5 miles as a guess. Anyway, Verizon and T Mobile says not available here. It's ok, for now as we are lucky to have fiber at $57.95 but a back up plan would be nice incase they decide not to offer this price anymore.
Will do. I’m going to give it some time before I make any decisions, but will update this from time to time. Consistency is the key here and I’m going to need a whole lot of it…

A quick update. So far the Sagemcom gateway has been rock solid. The connection has been constant with no drops, which did plague the first time I tried to use this. Speeds and latency have been reasonably steady. Here is a test I just did during the morning rush hour.

Mid February, so time for an update. The gateway and overall connection has been great. No restarts needed, which was a real problem with the Nokia gateway. My only concern is latency while doing video conference calls and gaming. There have been a few blips there. My guess is that it won’t be solid enough for everyday heavy use…

All things equal if you're getting slow speeds its because home internet users are deprioritized below everyone else.

This. I tried T-Mobile 5G home internet in our beach house. It seemed OK in late November when the town's population is mostly year round residents...about 1200 people. In summer, that swells to 50,000+ all using their cell phones everywhere. Home internet, already dodgey to begin with, gets reprioritized.
I stayed with Comcast for Internet for that reason.

Thanks for the update. We had that Nokia Gateway in our previous home on a trial.
Gosh, I tried to get it to work some days. It didn’t most days it would give us problems and we ended up returning it and staying with Spectrum at the time.
This was before most people even knew Home cell Internet existed, they even had engineers contact us and suggest where to try putting the router in relation to our home and the cell tower. Still didn’t work.

I noticed sometime after our area was placed on “ not available”

Thankfully, now in our new home, we have reasonably priced fiber 300/300 for 57,95 a month
We have a cell tower 2 1/2 miles away and it’s amazing how fast the single drops off from 5G at that distance

We live in a large community and people who are a mile closer are able to get T-Mobile Internet and are happy with it.
For our section of the community it shows is not available on their website
