Edge 5w30 vs 10w30

I've seen that the Castrol EDGE 5w30 is a pretty light 30. And I guess that the 10w30 is pretty normal. I have both of these on my shelf, am I better running the 10w30 over the 5w30?

i can tell you that even though it is a light 5-30 it still performs very well. you could really use boh with no worries. i use the five thirty in the truck and no problems, it meets all the specs or GM

Cold there in the winter. Give your starter and battery a break and go with the 5. Likely OK all summer too.

I plan on changing it and storing the car for the winter. I usually drive from like aprilish to novemberish
