Hey folks! Quick question. I just purchased a new Echo SRM-225 weed trimmer. Nice machine! I am reading through the manual and it says at the end of the season for storage to remove spark plug and put a few ounces of 4 stroke oil in the spark plug hole and pull the string, etc.

Anyone have any recommendations of what to use?

Redline or something more expensive, you only want the best.
j/k
Any 4 cycle oil will do, its just to coat the inner parts to prevent rust.
Only few drops!

I just bought a stihl attachment engine with a weed eater and blower. I was told to run their 50:1 premixed non ethanol fuel. It's about the same price as tru fuel. It's good for two years opened and ten years not opened.

The dealer said in the same breath at the end of the season to run it straight in my 4 cycle lawn mower to get rid of any left over ethanol blended fuel.

Every OPE that I left TruFuel in the fall started right up this spring.

I use 40:1

I gotta try that 4 cycle thing next fall!
