2 weeks ago, I bought an Echo SRM-225 string trimmer from a local Echo Dealer. I have run it for about an hour. What a difference from a cheapo Troy-bilt.

It may only have 21.2 CC displacement, but it feels like much more.

The dealer set me up right, fueled it with Saber Pro at 50:1, and gave me a pound of crossfire line, and a discount for a Pro head (if I did not like the U-turn head). He suggested using Saber Pro at 80:1 or Echo Power Blend at 50:1 for break in.

Still trying to get used to the CCW rotation of the head/line, but other than that, this trimmer rocks! Little vibration, and very comfortable to use.

I hear that. I was given a sweet older Echo leaf blower that had a disaster of a dirty fuel system (wouldn't run). Man is that thing sweet as compared to my cheap old Homelite blower.

I'm a big Echo fan.

Great products at very reasonable prices. I've bought a GT200R trimmer, an ES210 Shed N' Vac and a CS346 chainsaw just in the last three years. I have nothing but praise for each piece. I found the ES210 real handy the last few weeks for blowing leaves out of my boat at camp before heading out fishing and blowing the tamarack and pine needles off the decks. Oh, and by the way, if you need to get a camp fire going in a hurry, try using a leaf blower once the fire is established. Just use a low velocity blast of air though. otherwise the fire will be all over the yard.

I own Sthil, Husky, Jonsered as well as other brands of OPE and find Echo second to none.
