I have an echo power head PAS-225 starts great when cold on the first pull. After I use it a while and put it down for some time if I try to restart it will not start. Has fuel but primer bulb does not have fuel. Seems like vapor lock. How do I correct this issue.

Fuel primer bulb isn't really a primer, it just flushes new fuel into the carb bowl or fills it if empty. You probably have a worn out motor with low compression or a leaking needle and seat in the carb.

How old is the fuel filter ?

Check all fuel lines for cracks that can suck air. Or even kinks in the line that could occlude when the line is warmer from use.

Check when it won't start and see if you have spark, it you don't, coil.

Your fuel tank vent may be bad you can buy a kit that has new hoses with the vent and fuel lines and filter that is what I would do for a start.

Fuel vent is clogged or faulty. How does it idle when hot? I've also seen faulty carburetors do this only when warm when they get heat soaked and sometimes a rebuild kit fixes it and other times it does not those are cheap easy to find carbs

Possibly the coil. My old mower is this way. Definitely check/replace the fuel filter

When it won't start after getting hot, try spraying some starting fluid (ether) into the air filter intake. If it starts and runs at all, it's a fuel delivery issue, not a no-spark condition. If there is no "pop" at all, it is probably a bad coil breaking down after it gets hot.

If you suspect the coil, pull the ignition wire and connect it to a new spark plug. Ground the plug against the cylinder head and look for a spark when you pull the rope. No spark likely means a failing coil.

And echo will have a lifetime coil warranty. Its hard to get. You have to know your dealer and they can hook you up. If not it super hard.

I've had the in tank fuel lines crack part way so after fuel level drops down some carb runs out of gas. IMO empty primer bulb is a sign of that.
Had a Craftsman Poulan made saw that the coil would drop out after it got warm. After a few run cycles it finally went completely dead.

I'd check the fuel hose in the tank and the tank vent. Some Echos still use the cheap PVC fuel hose material in some units and it fails/cracks after a while, so you can be sucking air as the tank level drops. Have you tried filling the tank when this happens?

Tank vents get clogged and can prevent proper fuel suction. The vacuum equalizes when it cools and why it will start again when cold. As said, dry primer bulb is a good indicator that fuel isn't getting to the carb since it is part of the impulse fuel delivery system.
