Good news!! We can all move there when we have polluted and contaminated this planet. Well all but the poor, they will have to stay here...

According to Infinite Universe Theory, to which many of my NASA friends subscribe, there are an infinte number of possibilities and thus an infinite number of twins...

Of course, many of them also subscribed to the political theory of change until they where told that one of those changes was the termination of their job at NASA...

No need, in their bizarro world Fram filters are made with metal endcaps and Jiffy Lube gets the top 25 percentile of tech school grads.

Did you actually read the science? Even in the business article "an area where liquid water could exist" Strange for an anti-religious zealot. The fact is this no twin of earth. The existence of H20 and the things we so far have found necessary for life as we mere humans define it, does not negate all forms of faith, btw.

No kidding. I never thought it was truly an earth twin, literally.

OK sorry, I misinterpreted your head line and comments.

Although I stand by what I wrote - it could be similar, but not a twin. It's pretty cool, it lit up our emails when found because we have content on Kepler.

Quote:
The number of confirmed sub-Neptunian worlds in their habitable zones are few and far between, because they are the hardest ones to find," said Natalie Batalha, Kepler's deputy science team leader at San Jose State University in California.

It does point to earth's rareness.

It will be easier to clean up earth than to move over there. I'd say other than scientific study (and as an argument to be hijacked by religion or anti-religion) this is not impacting much at all.

Do what now?

Every? Yeah, we'll just ignore those 1.2 billion people.
