Just because they appear to be some kind of
new gimmick, given a trial they turn out
to be an excellent choice.

My first test was in a lawnmower, worked
so well, I started using them in several
other pieces of lawn equipment.

When my Chevrolet recently needed new plugs
I was anxious to see if I could find the
right ones from E3.

Using this information from the company
website, I ordered a set from AJUSA....

Very pleased, actually enthusiastic with
the results !

They don't make any for my motorcycles

I suppose they might not be a scam. But I'm leary. We have had any number of variations of "Split Fires", Tri Fires, Bosch +4's, etc. The Split fires were debunked in the past (=useless).

With the brand names competing and having big bucks for research..I guess I'll just be skeptical

. I know that NGK's are prettty hard to beat. But..hey..it works for you

Thanks for the info. Honestly I decided to not go with the NGK's for my Nissan bc they were overly pricy. I went instead with the AutoLite Plats. Thanks for the info. I'll check it out.

Let us know how those things continue to work out.

"Let us know how those things continue to work out"

Al, there is a 5 yr., 100,000 mile warranty on the
automotive plugs....

With my poor memory I'll probably forget !

O.K.......I looked at the website.
Why don't these companies have an address !!
You go to the "Contact Us" and there is an email, no phone or company address. I did find a P.O. box number on the bottom of a warranty form. WHICH RIVER IS THIS VAN PARKED BY ??

The noise is deafening here, alarm bells going off and red lights flashing. The words "snakeoil"" and "split-fire" are screaming in my head !!

"If they have maintained the Delphi standards,
you should stick with them...." Delphi should try to maintain NGK's standards !!
Now I'm getting confused, which one is the smoke and which one is the mirrors ??

P.B.

"Delphi should try to maintain NGK's standards !!"

Sorry, Delphi is in bankruptcy, no longer makes
those AC Delcos in Michigan...

Just buy whatever works well...

Wouldn't want you to put an E3 in your lawnmower
if you think they're junk...

Do a Google, the E3 company is in Florida, I
forget the address...

"I know that NGK's are prettty hard to beat"

Al, when Delphi stopped providing GM with AC
Delco plugs, it's my understanding that NGK
is the current source, badged the same as
ACs....

If they have maintained the Delphi standards,
you should stick with them....

I don't expect many to try E3s, even in their
lawnmoers...

"How much do they cost ??"

From AJUSA they were (round numbers) $5.00 ea., and
free shipping for order $25.00 or more.

Single plug for lawnmower was (round number)
$6.00 at my Lowe's.

Snake oil for sure. Here is the reason:

1. The 3 spokes will quinch more flame than help, even if they have a hole in the center.

2. "For some engines, this allows a further improvement in power by reducing the valve overlap and intake charge losses through blow-through from the intake to exhaust valve." This is bogus. You want some overlap so the exhaust can help pull in fresh intake air. That's how you make top end power.

3. There is no dyno result.

Shannow, it's that wide ground electrode that
gives the design an advantage....

There's a hole opposite the center electrode....

The spark jumps from the center electrode and
flashes through the hole giving more flame into the combustion chamber....

It's not complicated....

Chispas,

Do you own the company by any chance? It seems like you are obsessed with this one and only this one thread/post.

Anyways, my gut feeling is that if this simple design is so powerful, why don't other plug manufacture come up with this a long time ago? We already know that it is not the surface area size that give you the spark power, but the sharpness, the gap, and the material that does the trick. There are people out there modifying plugs by drilling out the ground and the improvement is not that significant, so I don't think E3 is any better in this regards.

I will believe this when the dyno result is out.
