Which is what I did as a kid mowing lawns.

Underarmour makes a good sports mask. You can breathe through it.
haha, I wasn't going to post this but what the heck...

All the bass pro type outlets have several masks …
Really made for UV protection - but other than N95 masks - not much else (sensible) has ratings …

If its the pollen, only an N95 will get the pollen. Pollen particle size is tiny.

If its the dust bothering you, then any old mask / face cover will help. Although presumably some of the pollen will be attached to the dust so it won't hurt. Just won't be completely effective either.

Interesting on the masks. May have to get one, wife has been trying to get me to wear one while mowing, due to my allergies.

But I’ve been inside the last few days and absolutely dying in the morning from allergies. No mowing involved. Today might be better due to the rainy day yesterday.

That's what I used when spraying my lawn with Roundup. Better safe than sorry.
An N95 mask (which protects you against airborne particles) isn't going to help much against a mist, splashes and possibly vapour. You might even make the situation (slightly) worse. I can argue it either way. Limiting skin contact is generally the important factor in reducing pesticide exposure. And taking off and putting a mask on (with your contaminated hands touching your face) could actually increase your skin exposure. You'd have to run a test to determine whether using an N95 mask (slightly) helps or (slightly) worsens the situation. Reusing the mask would weight it towards making the situation worse.

If you're concerned about spraying, it would be a good idea to shower afterwards and wash your clothes.
