Hello,

On my Triumph I have been using Meguiars Ultimate Synthetic wax. I have decided to try a two layer approach with Duragloss 105 and a coat of Collinite #845 over it. My question is will the Duragloss 105 remove any remaining wax on the paint or should I get a wax stripper to do it?

It's not going to remove existing wax, based on the product description.

You can strip the wax with something like Dawn dish soap.

The Duragloss 105 is considered an "all in one" meaning it cleans as it applies a protective coating.

Personally I would not put the collinite on top. There is no need.

I have used both of these products for years and can tell you the Duragloss as for durability is second to none.

I spray Duragloss 923 instant detailer after I buff off the 105.

Duragloss does recommend their bonding agent applied for maximum durability... Though I have never used it.

Apply the 105 as thin as you can with a foam applicator. Leave on car for 30 min. Buff off and spray a detailer over it. Beautiful durable results every time.

I only thought of topping it for just a bit of added protection and to give it more warmth to the shine. Perhaps give it a smidge more protection.

Not necessary. The Duragloss is has better gloss than the Collinite IMO and that is on my dark blue metallic paint.

The duragloss combo I mentioned already is hard to beat.

Don't put the Collinite on. One or the other.

In this case I don't think one will compliment the other or add duribility.

It won't hurt to top it, but wait at least 12 hrs unless you use DG's Bonding Agent. You can mix the bonding agent (1:4?) with DG105 in order to save time/steps. As stated above, it wouldn't be necessary to top with IW845. Wait 5 months, then apply 845.
