I have Windows XP and dual monitors (two graphics cards - AGP and PCI). When I started up my computer - one monitor was blank. I assumed that it was the graphics card that died - because both monitors worked on the secondary graphics card.
So went out and bought another graphics card. Problem: It still was showing one screen blank.
Problem: The blank screen is the windows log in screen - the secondary graphics (the one that is working) won't activate until windows logs in.
So .... how to fix this problem? Anyway to tell windows that there is 1 monitor via keyboard commands? I set AGP in the bios and it works until I go to log in so it shows the boot but soon as the windows log in comes up - the monitor that usually shows that goes blank.
