Download time for W10

I am running W8.1 now and wonder how long does it take to download W10 running at ~ 10Mb/s? Ed Hayes

Best guess would be approximately a hour from start to finish.

Download is less than 1 full dvd in size so around an hour.

My initial upgrade download and install from Win 7 was about an hour. Then I had two large updates with long install times immediately after that, for about 3 hours total. No problems at all with Win 10 after that.

Microsoft has been downloading parts of W10 onto people's machines who asked to be notified when it was available. More gets downloaded when the install actually happens. I left the machine powered on overnight and in the morning it was installed just fine.

That's kind of about how I remember mine as well. Can't vouch for the downlod speed though. I have a laptop I'm waiting for the next wave of win 10 upgrades to come for it. I like the win 10 way better than the funky 8.1. It's more like win 7. Good luck
