double platinum plugs...platinum 2 or double?

I see Bosch has platinum 2 plugs and double platinum plugs. Can I assume the double platinum plugs have platinum on the post and also the bar that comes over on top of the post? And a platinum 2 has two bars that come over on top of the post? I assume for a waste spark system I only want the double platinum plugs?

If you check the Bosch website, I think you will find that the Bosch 2 & 4 is referring to the number of ground electrodes. Both the +2 & +4 have only one center Platinum electrode. I therefore would go with the +2 myself.

And then they have the Platinum +4.
I beleive in all cases, all of the electrodes are Platinum coated/fused.

And keep in mind, the only cars that you should risk using bosch in are the ones that come with them from the factory. They don't seem to agree well with (most) GMs, Fords, Hondas etc.

Pure bunk.

We ran them in everything in the warehouse when they first came out.

No magical gains (as expected), but no problems either. Had one set in a GM V-8 for 200k miles without a peep.

There is no question they have issues in some cars, but in most they run just fine.

If you have wasted spark then get a double platinum or iridium plug. I think the NGK laser iridiums are the best. They're not the cheapest but they have a long life and are good quality.

With a waste spark system , get double precious metal tipped plugs.
