Easy solution. Always find a kerb and park againstit. No more door/sude dings.

Thats how you get the best ones from cabs dropping of people..boneheads double parking. Had a brand new black Honda and a cab passenger put a giant dent in my quarter panel...nice and cab yellow.

Swapping paint when the car is parked isn't fun. I got a 2"x3" transfer of actual fire engine red on my fender last week when the fire truck brushed the car while trying to back out an alley after putting out a fire in the neighbor's cottage. The same neighbors blocked the alley with parked cars under their own no parking sign, which led to the fire truck having to back out when they couldn't drive any further.

I know it's all about style on newer cars, but the fact that door strips are now painted the same color as the car negates having them at all. My Frontier hasn't been dinged yet, but my roommate's Explorer is dark blue, and someone nailed him on his front passenger door. I guess it's good because the plastic doesn't dent...but it scratched just like the door would have, so strip or no strip, there's still a mark on the door. Ugh...people suck.
