...you remember to take a sample of the oil AFTER you've drained it?

Did that with both the motor oil & trans oil on the Vue. I coulda kicked myself as I wanted to trend the trans oil as it was the second drain with Amsoil ATF.

Oh well...

Yep happened to me yesterday, changed the oil in the G35 and forgot to take a sample...

I'm guilty too. I was really upset the last time because I was promising the UOA for this board as a comparision. Now I have to wait for the next time...

If you drained the oil into a clean pan as I do then you could stir it up and take the sample.
