Donaldson / Baldwin reliable online source?

What vehicle? If it's a heavy duty truck you can get them at Fleetpride and possibly Truck Pro.

I checked out Fleetpride, the cost of Baldwin filters was cheap. I understand they are good filters. There is a fleetpride not too far from me.

Zoro is a great source of Baldwin. If Fleetpride is a good deal, that might be the first time they have a good deal on anything, they always seem really high, & they list a lot of things on their site that they can’t (or won’t) actually carry nor get in!

Baldwin are ho-hum filters...nothing special and not worth putting a bunch of time in finding them...do a search here... just keeping it real...no offense intended

I feel the same way-they are a good enough, well constructed rock catcher filter. Low efficiency, nitrile ADBV, not really worth the higher cost over a Premium Guard. But, the can thickness is good!

I’m trying to find another filter since wix went south. I was using microguard scelect but I went to get one at the parts store and it was five years old at least.

I just don’t know what to buy anymore.

Don't feel bad you aren't alone..
Tell us what its going on etc and that way the folks here can help you and many filters have been cut open here so you can see for yourself.

I was and am fine with premium guard, which I can get as microguard select at orillys auto.

But not at five years old. Dint have this problem last year.

I also hate ordering online because I have had bad luck and can’t check date codes.

I once got a filter with no threads, couldn’t figure out why I couldn’t screw it on … lol

RockAuto is hard to beat for Baldwin filters pricing even with shipping factored in if you buy like 6 or more at a time spread out shipping cost. They will beat Fleetpride and Zoro pricing most of the time also.

That's surprising unless it was some really odd ball filter application. I'd think O'Reilly moves MicroGard Selects a lot faster than that. How did you determine how old it was? What about a Mobil 1 (new build under Highline Warren) at Walmart.

Best info on date code I got here. Maybe it’s wrong???
The only part of the date code on MicroGard Selects (and similar PGI filters) that is easy to decipher ls the first two digits which is the year.
