Looking at U.S made Oster, Wahl, or Andis brands. Any recommendations?

Can't wait to see the replies to this one.
Our dog Bear (this was his name at the Humane Society, we didn't change it) has a very thick coat that frustrates every clipper I've tried, including Wahl and Oster.
I'm about ready to take him to the groomers and see what they use. Somehow, they can clip him in an hour or less, and with the "owner" grade trimmers I've bought, I get him maybe 25% done in an hour.

We Tried Wahl, gave up on it and bought an Oster Turbo off E'bay.
