Hit a pothole.....only to realize I got 2 bubbles on the left side.
Sigh....

Swapped to other Summer Set...

295/35/21 and 315/30/22 PS4S...
May run them next season. May not.

I'm on the fence. Could just order replacement just to get it over with on the -never ending punchlist- and be over with it.
Or just get new rubber in Feb 2025 and maybe it might have a a slight marginally better production date.
IME, tires are all over the map on Production Date - depending on how it get's picked from the warehouse.
Rubber doesn't last long for me anyhow so fresh/fresher DOT for resale is not really a consideration

Not sure I completely understand the question, but I think it makes the most sense to get the tires when you need them (Feb 2025) unless you happen to come across an amazing deal before then. Personally, wouldn't spend all that money to let them sit for 6 months. Imagine something happens to the car between now and then and you are stuck with the tires.

I always buy on clearance if at all possible, sadly it means I need to store up to 2 years if I make a miscalculation. I am not driving anywhere near as many miles so it actually seems to drive my tire costs up because it’s hard to know how much time is left on a tread.

Bought a new retail set of tires for the volt then a bear destroyed the front end and radiator

Last snafu was that I ordered 4 tires and only got 3

These tires are always generally around the same MAP:MSRP. Only discount is your typical $100-$150 rolling promos depending on whenever Michelin is having a rebate. It's just mildly -late- into the season and before I know it , winter tars are going on, but it's been getting milder and milder each season......

I've been debating on selling my dedicated winter set and just converting one of these dual summer setups to a all season (need to get rid of the 315 and go a second set of fronts to make it a 295/35/21-ALL SEASON- PSAS4.

Move, or quit running 21” and 22” wheels.
Where is this land of no potholes? I wanna go there myself.

I have a vehicle (actually, my wife has a vehicle) that runs factory 22's - the wheels are part of what makes her package a $101,000 package.....
