Does anyone else dislike digital odometers?

With the newest dashboards that are basically large LCD monitors, the scrolling movement of digits could be programmed in, alas I'm not sure that any manufacturer would actually bother.

Again, some manufacturers already do this.

It's still not as satisfying as watching the analog ones roll over.

However, as the owner of a truck with 375,000 miles on it, I'm terrified the odometer gear is going to strip. Not an issue with digital odometers, although I suppose displays stop working pixel by pixel, too. I know how to take the odometer apart to change the numbers or replace the motor/gears, but somehow it wouldn't be the same after that.

The odometer in my F150 scrolls. I havent paid attention to my wifes Fusion yet.

I like the electronic ones better, mechanican one on my 96 got stuck at 90kkk, that was 7 years ago, at that time i was quoted like $350ish to fix it and i didn't bother to fix because money was kinda tight. Now i kick myself for not fixing it cause i wanna now how many miles i got, but after 7 years it's a little too late. Im not sure if the electronic ones have any kind of probles ( i haven't with mine ) but yeah that why i don't like analog, roll odometers.
