NOACK of M1 0W40 is pretty good, under 10.

Some engines prefer another oil - my Barchetta for example, wasn't the smoothest with M1 0W40. On the contrary, the Mazda 6 loved it. Choices are fun

Well, you might have mechanical issues … keep trying various stuff …
but my driver did 1.2m Km on M1 0w40 in his MB220 …

Maybe some engines need a thicker base oil? My 300ZX`s fsm (and owner's manual) said to only use a 10W30-20W50,5W30 only if driven below freezing and never during sustained high speed driving or racing,and never a 5W20. 10W30 and 10W40 were the "recommended oils" via the underhood sticker.

You can also you may want to try a thicker 5W30 like Valvoline MST.

Did you ever try the Castrol Edge 0W40? If not,give this one a go and see how well it works. Walmart sells it cheap per 5 quart jug.

1.2 Km what did you mean ????

Iv tried many few oil brands...here is results..as far as I remember
Oil consumption...
Pennzoil platinum 5w40 around 1qt per 1500 miles
Mobil 1 0w40 1qt per 800 miles
LIQUI MOLY Leichtlauf 5W40 1qt per 2000 miles
Castrol GTX high mileage 10w40 1qt per 3000 miles
Btw Penzoil was the first oil when I bought a car ...
My valve covers had a lot of deposits when I was replacing gaskets .. and seems like previous owner use a Conventional oil and overdue OCI.....
