Oh come on now. That's mean. They didn't have to hide it, the Hornet and the Alfa it's based on are beautiful looking vehicles. If only they were reliable, they would have been clear winners.Dodge thought they could import an Italian vehicle and nobody would notice. Stellantis has no grasp of the North American market.
Good to know . Thanks for straightening my thought processes.Oh come on now. That's mean. They didn't have to hide it, the Hornet and the Alfa it's based on are beautiful looking vehicles. If only they were reliable, they would have been clear winners.
The MSRPs asked were unrealistic, but that was mostly the Covid momentum, when all brands got used to add an extra zero to anything that could make it out of the lot on its own power...

And that itself also shares a platform with the Fiat 500X.If I could pick up a new Alfa Romeo Tonale over here for the equivalent (about £18,000) I would in a heartbeat!
Same powertrain as the Jeep Renagade 4xe I assume?
There’s a few things Mopar has gotten right - their muscle cars, the newer Rams aren’t bad trucks, the Jeep Wranger might be the longest running truck in production with evolutionary changes but its platform is largely unchanged. Think the Crown Vic. Their older minivans also weren’t bad but had little mistakes(brakes, 42TE) but also was in production for a long time.Smart people dont buy Chrysler/Dodge/Stellantis products. I agree that they do, and it would, but I'm simply quoting C&D based on it's performance in stock form.Again, small turbo engines like this benefit hugely from a decent manual gearbox. This car would be genuinely fast if it had a manual in it.
And smart blankets don't make people.Blanket statements don't make smart people.

In all fairness, most sub $30k offers were for the 2.0. I don't think the hybrid was ever hit that bad.If I could pick up a new Alfa Romeo Tonale over here for the equivalent (about £18,000) I would in a heartbeat!

I've long thought that the Challenger is by far the nicest-looking retro muscle car.I saw a new Scat Pack (maybe it was the EV, not sure) Challenger at my son's pick-up line today. Man, is that a nice looking car in the wild.
