i have seen several late-model dodge cars whose headlight turns off when they are signaling? is that supposed to do that? my durango doesn't do it. the headlight on the side of the "activated signal" turns off....that seems wrong.--or is it deactivating the DLR on that side?

I like that feature, because you can see the turn signal alot easier. Some vehicles have the turn signal right beside the headlight and it can be hard to see when they have their signal on till they are real close.

It's deactivating the DRL on the side of the flashing signal. Our Caliber does the same thing. It doesn't turn off the light if the lights are "on", only if the DRL's are on.

It only happens on cars that have daytime running lights enabled (Canadian market, or US market if the customer wants it enabled). It is also only implemented on vehicles where the turn signal is very close to the headlamp itself- so the daytime running light doesn't mask the turn signal.
